aJ wiltse - founder / certified run coach
Coach AJ, the founder and creator of the Uncommon brand. AJ has been a long distance runner for 15 years. Running many events ranging from the 5K distance to 26.2, he runs thousands of miles per year. His strategy is heavily reliant on listening to the body and making weekly training adjustments, strength training, mobility, and overall injury prevention for his athletes. AJ’s coaching style is developing tailored training plans to suit each runner's unique characteristics and goals.
If you know coach AJ, you know he’s bringing the energy and passion with everything he does. All things health and fitness have always been who he is as an individual. AJ is a natural competitor who has a passion for pushing individuals to achieve their goals.
From 2:30 am alarms to achieve his personal goals, to showing up on race day to cheer on his athletes, there’s nothing he loves more than pushing beyond what the brain thinks is possible. AJ believes if you combined effort and discipline, there’s nothing you can’t achieve. josh rulnick - Co-founder
Josh started running several years ago looking for change—a new perspective, a shift in pace, something different. What he didn’t expect was to fall in love with the process. Running provided him with clarity, purpose, and a connection to a community of like-minded individuals. As a father, a founder, and a passionate runner, Josh has found that the lessons learned laced up on the road—resilience, patience, and presence—carry into every part of an individual’s life.
Through his running journey, he has discovered that he can help others, not just by building a running brand, but by creating space for people to grow, move, and belong. Running changed Josh’s life and now he’s building Uncommon to share that spark with others. Josh is a natural leader and the Uncommon brand is grateful to have such an inspiring, kind, and hardworking individual on the team.

Alex promotes and advocates for maintaining a healthy lifestyle / balance, rather than going on streaky “diets”. There’s goals that can be met and maintained in each season of your life - it’s your choice what you want to reach, exceed or maintain & when! Alex believes whole heartedly that the most sound athlete can lift heavy and run fast; a true hybrid mentality. With a history of sports and weightlifting growing up, Alex has years of consistency established in the health and wellness space. Alex offers a healthy but disciplined approach to achieving your goals.

bryan bachman - certified run coach
Bryan is a lifelong athlete with a passion for running. His competitive drive was forged in the world of professional motocross, where he discovered that proper endurance training is the key to peak performance. Running quickly became the foundation of off-bike training for him which sparked a deep passion for it.
Through many years of dedication to running, he refined his skills and knowledge and achieved a Boston Marathon qualification in his first marathon attempt. As a runner continually chasing personal records, Bryan has a deep passion and desire to inspire, empower, and educate others to achieve their own running goals. Bryan believes in order to be a competitive long distance runner, you must first build a strong aerobic foundation in a “base building” phase for several weeks.
